reen products and sustainable energy technologies have inspired Roman Kulesza, CET, to start his own company, C.K. Consulting and Management Services, in Toronto, which will promote such technologies’ use.
Roman has a diversified background in the inspection of facilities and operations for safety, security, liability, business interruption, construction and exposures. Among them is travel north of Thunder Bay by bush plane to inspect communications facilities. He has also inspected a salt mine operation that took him half a kilometer below the surface and one kilometer away from the shaft. According to Roman, the one that he “quite enjoyed” was his trip to inspect a hospital on Baffin Island, Northwest Territories.
Back in the early1980s, Roman noted that insurance underwriters were starting to provide more coverage for pollution exposures. The growing concern, he says, by the general public and environmental groups has demanded that governments take immediate action to reduce or eliminate pollutants. His new company will play a role in this area.
An honors graduate in Industrial Management Technology, from Humber College, Rexdale, Ontario, Roman has had training at Kemper Insurance Headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. He continued studies at the University of Toronto in Risk Management and received underwriting credentials from the IAO School in Toronto. He had specialized in Insurance Loss Control Engineering for over 18 years.
